As the Puppy Grows

Boone is growing so fast. At 12 weeks old he was full of fun, sleep, and puppy teeth. Around our house he became known as the Carpet Shark. But it’s all normal and expected. A puppy is a puppy after all.

Boone had his first experiences as our next adventure dog. He love hikes and has been exploring the mountains with us.

At 16 weeks, he’s all about more play and less sleep. He’s doing great on his leash, has learned sit, down, and “gimme five!” Polly likes him more than she’ll admit. It’s an old dog thing—if you have one, you get it. She plays with him and will share her bed when he’s not being a Great White Shark. I think my old girl finds comfort in having another pack member.

All is well in my doglandia and after nearly a dozen years, it’s wonderful to have a very young puppy again. They are a force of nature, in the very best of ways.
