The Truth Behind The Fiction
I wanted to explore how much of our identity is associated with what we see in the mirror every day, and what would happen if that physical appearance was suddenly altered forever. After an accident my character, Tayla Lyon, underwent a face transplant. And then because I’m me (and have no problem owning my off-kilter identity), things got weird after that.
Tayla is a professional wildlife photographer, something that is near to my heart. I’m an amateur but it is my favorite hobby. These mountains and the creatures who live here are very special to me. Like Tayla, they are where I turn for solace and healing.
