Bighorn Littlehorn

Today my husband and I were privileged to spend some time with these Rocky Mountain Bighorn ewes and two young lambs. The shedding ewes were pawing the soil and licking it, no doubt finding much needed minerals. The lambs were just having fun.

Bighorn sheep have incredibly expressive eyes. I loved how this ewe posed against a backdrop of willows just for me.

I feel honored that these amazing creatures allowed me a peek into their lives. To be able to view lambs so young was a rare gift.
